Hello Everyone! My name is Savannah Perales and I am the owner of Sugar Baby Spa. Originally, I am from San Antonio, but I have lived in many places due to being a Navy Veteran. I completed an advanced esthetics program at Bellus Academy in Poway, CA during the pandemic, then moved closer to family in San Antonio where I practiced sugaring and waxing predominantly. I fell in love with hair removal, specifically sugaring, when I took my certification class in San Diego with Sweet and True Sugaring. Sugaring is a more holistic approach to permanent hair removal that dates back to ancient Egyptian times. Sugar is a paste composed of sugar, lemon juice, and water that is molded into your hair follicles to remove hairs from the root. This process is different from waxing for many reasons like the antimicrobial and antiseptic properties sugar paste has, as well is it being all natural, vegan, and hypoallergenic. Unlike waxing, sugaring is safe for people with skin care conditions like psoriasis or eczema. By adding Sugar Hair Removal to my list of services, it has not only changed the lives and self esteem of many of my clients, but also changed my life. It has made it my duty to widen my service menu by furthering my education in skincare, with a goal to expand my spa in the upcoming years to open a medical aesthetic spa. I hope to continue to make meaningful connections with my clients and enhance their lives.
